Common sense it dead in America

Every once in a while I have to shake my head and bite my tongue to keep from saying what I really think. Less face some facts . We are on the brink of financial collapse yet  folks  in Washington seem to think we should spend more money . I am against is irresponsible spending and that has become an American past time. Millions of people are out of work, no doubt about that. But what got us into this financial defunct in the first place. Americans have lived on credit for years. Hardly anyone saves for retirement, the average American lives from pay check to pay check with out ever saving a dime. One hiccup in the ole' pay check and they loose their homes or one medical disaster and they are filling bankruptcy.
  WHY? The simple answer is they don't plan ahead. They fail to see tomorrow and live for today. The credit card is one of our nations biggest and worst enemies an only a few seem to understand the buy now pay now principles of sounds financial judgment.Folks get a credit card , run it to the hilt and when the bill comes due they pay the minimal payment. There in lies the first mistake. The minimum payment barely pays the interest on the balance and guess what making minimum payments each month you will never pay the debt off unless you live to be a thousand and never use the card again.

Well, a lot of things not just one, there is plenty of blame to go around one reckless mistake after another both on the governments part and "we the people"  too are to blame no one complained when they were getting bridges to nowhere ,  30 thousand dollar turtle crossings nor

Remember when those Pre-approved credit cards came in the mail day after day? I can , I got as many as three or four a day at one time in the early 90's. At one time I had over 25 thousand dollars in pre-approved credit available to me.

Roll the clock back to the financial banking crisis and the mortgage bust how quickly we have forgotten. I often wonder if folks can do simple math anymore. We can't continue to spend what we don't have it is just that simple. During the housing boom of the 90's and up until 2008 buying houses was made so easy everyone was buying one. Housing appraisers we inflating the prices of homes and real estate agents we doing whatever it took, even lying in order to get mortgages to sell homes. The banks were lending money to folks that did not even qualify for a mortgage. If you make $50,000.00 a year you can't afford a $350,000 dollar home but that sure didn't stop folks from buying one.

There are no new jobs being created with all the latest Green energy grants, loans and all that stimulus money as a matter of fact several of the companies that got millions for green energy went defunct  Solyndra, a San Francisco Bay area solar company   declared chapter 11 some 1,100 people lost their jobs. Those loans were government  guarantees loans. So who eats that , We do ,the  taxpayers.  The green energy so far has been one disaster after the other.

"The company, Ener1, received a $118 million grant from DOE in 2010 as part of the president’s stimulus package. The money, which went to Ener1 subsidiary EnerDel, aimed to promote renewable energy storage battery technology for electrical grid use.
But despite generous federal support for the company, Ener1 was racked by problems last year. In October, NASDAQ delisted the company due to non-compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission filing requirements. A month later, the company’s president, chief executive, and top financial officer were fired.
On Thursday, Ener1 announced it will initiate a pre-packaged Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan as part of an agreement to restructure the company’s debt obligations."

I got a real kick out of Vice- President Biden's statement :" The stimulus was, Biden claimed, “not just creating new jobs, but sparking whole new industries that will ensure our competitiveness for decades to come — industries like electric vehicle manufacturing.” (Hey, Joe that Chevy Volt has been a real winner, drive down the road and catch on fire .. gotta love that.)  He went on to single out Ener1 specifically." I wonder how much stock he has in Ener1 ? News flash Joe, the money was suppose to create JOBS NOW , not 20 years down the road. Our government has become like the money pit dream house,  it should have been torn down and started a new but you were assured you could fix it .. at the end of the day, you still have a money pit that cost you more  then it is worth.

Here is a short list of government waste:

• Federal agencies are delinquent on nearly 20 percent of employee travel charge cards, costing taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars annually.[9]
• The Securities and Exchange Commission spent $3.9 million rearranging desks and offices at its Washington, D.C., headquarters.[10]
• The Pentagon recently spent $998,798 shipping two 19-cent washers from South Carolina to Texas and $293,451 sending an 89-cent washer from South Carolina to Florida.[11]
• Over half of all farm subsidies go to commercial farms, which report average household incomes of $200,000.[12]
• Health care fraud is estimated to cost taxpayers more than $60 billion annually.[13]

• The refusal of many federal employees to fly coach costs taxpayers $146 million annually in flight upgrades.[15]
• Washington will spend $126 million in 2009 to enhance the Kennedy family legacy in Massachusetts. Additionally, Senator John Kerry (D-MA) diverted $20 million from the 2010 defense budget to subsidize a new Edward M. Kennedy Institute.[16]
• Federal investigators have launched more than 20 criminal fraud investigations related to the TARP financial bailout.[17]
• Despite trillion-dollar deficits, last year’s 10,160 earmarks included $200,000 for a tattoo removal program in Mission Hills, California; $190,000 for the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming; and $75,000 for the Totally Teen Zone in Albany, Georgia.[18]
• The federal government owns more than 50,000 vacant homes.[19]
• The Federal Communications Commission spent $350,000 to sponsor NASCAR driver David Gilliland.[20]

America never knowingly accepted socialism

I chose the above quote because it appears that this above statement has nearly come to pass in my generation. I am 55 years old. I grew up during the hippy movement of the 60’s and 70’s, one of the biggest anti government, toss out your morals, burn your bras, disobey your parents, do drugs the more the merrier and give out sex as if it were candy, anti war, anti nukes, hang up those outdated values and forget responsibility. It was an era of total rebellion among the youth against the authorities of parents and the establishment. One mantra was,” if it feels good do it” another,” stick it to the man” Protests were in vogue. We were taught be suspicious of everyone and everything. The public school systems were in full swing "dumbing" down its pupils. Johnny was no longer in need of learning how to read and Mary had no need of learning how to write. Social grade promotions were normal if you failed they still passed you, no one needed to earn grades. College entrance exams like the SAT test where shaved by as much as twenty points to allow certain minority students entrance. Education no longer focused on the needs of the individual but the group as a whole thus socialism took a deep root. We were being taught socialism in the guise of education , in order to be accepted you acted, thought and were taught to be apart of the group or you simply were not accepted.

The word,” sedition”, comes to mind when I think back on my teenage and college years. We were a generation taught in our schools by teachers who were indoctrinated in college to teach socialism. The media did their part by glamorizing this was the right thing to do. .Got to be hip or you are not cool The communist had infiltrated our colleges disguised as professors and those graduates took jobs as teachers in the public school all around the country. The nightly news began to lean towards the more liberal views and made sure it was viewed from that perspective. Movie stars like Jane Fonda sided with the communist of North Viet Nam and was proud of kicking and spitting on soldiers coming home from war in airports. These events were paraded on the T.V. nightly and it was rare that anyone complained. The silent majority were applaud but they said nothing and they did nothing.I believe this was one of the biggest commencements of the principal push towards socialism ever to be enacted in America and its impact is the results we are witnessing today. The best example I can think of is Barak Hussein Obama seated in the Oval office of the White House.

A large number of those seated in the House and Senate today are some of the same people that participated in the flower child, hippy movement. Nevertheless, they were voted into office and given power to governor us. I have often wondered if anyone ever checked out the conduct of those they voted for prior to their political careers. Past dealings show a lot about a person’s present character. Ever heard of the old saying," a leopard never changes their spots"?


Along with each new bill that is passed into law there is a yet another small annihilation of our freedoms; all the while eroding the heart of the Constitution and our liberties as citizens. Last year millions of guilt ridden Americans were driven greatly out of shame and voted for “Change “and that is what we got and about all we have left in our pockets.
I personally have no guilt nor will I accept it as a reason to vote for anyone running for an office. I vote for men and women with character and good judgment. I never owned a slave nor did anyone in my family, so why would I feel guilty for a problem inherited by America from our predecessors. I also voted for a Black man for president as a matter of fact he was a write in candidate here on our ballot in Kentucky. I still voted for him not because I felt any shame or guilt but because he holds the same kinds of morals and values as I do. His character is like gold and he is steadfast in his convictions. He has never falter nor wavered about what he stands for that man is Dr. Alan Keyes. He was abandoned by the Republican Party because he would not bend to the politics as usual stasis quo mentality that has taken deep roots in the party. It felt good not to hold my nose and cast a vote for a liberal posing as a conservative, one of the RINO’s that has infiltrated the Republican Party. I am referring John McCain.



I have heard it said,” you can’t tell the difference in the parties’ any longer”, and I agree you can’t. Just because someone changes parties’ dose not mean they have changed their hearts, their convictions or what they acknowledge as truthful. It is because they see an advantage either of gaining power or money to advance their own careers of course this might not be true in every case. I know there are true conversions that spend relentless hours working towards to good of our nation. I am one of them, but for the majority the change is in their registration voter card and in fact it is done for their own political gain and not a sincere conversion of the person. Consequently, the outcome is liberal Republicans running for office being back by the GOP and than being elected solely because they have an R beside their name on the ballots. We have to face the facts Americans are rather naive when it comes to politicians. Millions of dollars are spent each election both from the Republicans and Democrats. After all hardly any of them fulfill the empty promises they make while they are bidding for our votes. Do they? Think about it. Political speeches are designed to entice and excite the listeners and rarely give an honest illustration of the candidate.

Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Become an educated voter; truthfully get to know the whole candidate before you cast that precious vote. Ask questions. Look them in the eyes while they answer you. Take a fine tooth comb to them like you would a dog with fleas and you might discover that they aren’t at all who they are portraying while bidding for your vote.

This is why I support a Bill Johnson. He is not a career Politician nor is he seeking power and money. He is running his campaign strictly from grassroots efforts. I have personally stuck his feet to the fire on every issue I can think of from health care to foreign policy and he stands firm on his convictions. He does not support government run health care nor does he believe we should be soft on present dangers out side the United States nor inside that could potentially cause us harm. He is a gulf war vet, business man husband, father and Christian who loves his country and with your vote he can help stop the nonsense coming out of Washington.
I urge you to take an honest look at this man he is the real deal here in Kentucky for the U.S. Senate seat.
We do live in perilous and dangerous times and we need someone with a strong sense of commitment and dedication that will not buckle under pressure.

One for the good guys

Do you remember this TRUE story from March this year? Read down till you find out how it ended.

This is totally crazy and it should make you want to slap the hell out of the
idiots in Washington DC from Obama all the way down.

Georgia Arms is the 5th largest retailer of .223 Ammo in America . They sell
9mm, .45, .223 ammunition. They normally buy spent brass from the US
Department of Defense. Spent brass is "one time used" shell cases used by our
Military for training purposes.

They buy the brass, recondition it, and then reload the brass for resale to
Law Enforcement, Gun Clubs, Gun Shops, and stores like Wal-Mart. They normally
buy 30,000 lbs of spent brass at a time.

This week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and informed
him that from now on the DoD will be destroying the spent brass, shredding it.
It will no longer be available to the ammo makers, unless they buy it in a
scrap shredded condition (which they have no use for).

The shredded brass is now going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap
metal, after the DoD pays for it to be shredded. The DoD is selling the brass
to China for less money than the ammo makers have been paying, plus the DoD
has to pay to have the brass shredded and do the accounting paperwork.

This sure helps the economy now doesn't it? Sell cheaper to China , and do not
sell at all to a proven US business. Any hidden agenda working here? Obama
going after the Firearms Industry and our ammunition!!

The Georgia Arms owner even related a story that one of his competitors had
already purchased a load of brass last week. The DoD contacted him this week
and said they were sending someone over to make sure it was destroyed. Shell
cases he had already bought!

The brass has no value to the ammo maker if it is destroyed/shredded/melted.
The ammo manufacturer only uses the empty brass cases to reload different
calibers, mainly .223 bullets.

The owner of Georgia Arms says that he will have to lay o ff at least half of
his 60 workers, within 2-3 months if the DoD will no longer sell spent brass
cases to the industry. Georgia Arms has 2-3 months of inventory to use, by
summer they're out.

If the Reloading Industry has to purchase new manufacture brass cases, then
the cost of ammunition will double or even triple, plus Obama want to add a
500% tax on each shell.

DOD Ends Sale of Expended Military Brass to Remanufacturers

AND SO IT BEGINS...

Notice: Thanks to the hundreds of people who have responded to this posting, and the thousands of gun owners who e-mailed DOD and their representatives in Congress...

This situation has been resolved.

DOD rescinded the order after a firestorm of criticism--which began almost immediately when they issued a directive to mutilate all expended military brass before it could be sold to the civilian reloading market.

Media didn't report this one either

As Obama and his troupes descend on the town hall meetings pushing for his health care reform the media is directed to a staged show much like the election. This was sent to me by a friend in Bozeman , MT who was there.

Hello All,

By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Bill and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.

On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date. They have asked their name be left out for personal reasons.

On about Tuesday Bill found out that they would be holding the "Town Hall" at the airport. (This is only because Bill knows EVERYONE at the airport) Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public.

FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums). All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN!! $$$$$

During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly. Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession. $$$$$

Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday.

Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm......900 tickets just DISAPPEARED.

This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama. Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?? Just think...with all of the traveling the White House is doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for.

On Friday Bill and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama's spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd.

The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them.....professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area)

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.

So we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest.

If you are wondering about the press.....Well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds.

We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho . Speaking of the local media...they were invited. However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn't want anyone to have to think off the top of their head.

It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare. Even those people that talked about their insurance woes........the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come. Smoke and mirrors...EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the United States of America , more like the USSR !! I was physically nauseous. Bill and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care about our country please get involved. Know the issues. And let Congress hear your voices again and again!! If they are willing to put forth so much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on in Washington DC . Scary!!

Obaman care might limit your days !

If you are looking to the media to tell you the truth about what is going on in the US or anywhere else in the world you also probably believe in the tooth fairy. Don't think for one minute that they are going to tell you the whole story. Journalism today is mostly commentary and personal opinion. No honest reporting. The media is controlled by liberals with an agenda and that agenda is to brainwash you the viewer or reader in their way of thinking. LIBERAL

Yesterday as I watched a portion of the morning news I saw a clip from one of the town hall meeting. I had to laugh but in reality it wasn’t really funny. My laughter was towards the reporter not the situation.
In the clip of the town hall meeting. Several people showed their anger against Obamas plan.The journalist said, the men are crazy and out of control because they raised their voice in opposition to the Obama socialized medicine plan. If you have actually done your own due diligence with this bill you would or should be outraged too.

First of all the journalist is not qualified to make a statement like that and second she is suppose to be a journalist not a commentator. She should not even give her personal opinions she should have been reporting the news.

I consider the whole Obama care plan crazy and I do not want the government to take control of my medical needs; I find it crazy to allow the government to say when it’s time to pull the plug on our elderly and yes even me if I go the hospital too many times.

Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. (So if you have high blood pressure or need a pace maker do you get it ?} That means the elderly will bear the brunt.” This plan says who lives and who dies. Now that is crazy!!
