The Youth Leadership School has launched more successful political careers than any other Leadership Institute training program.

* Building an effective student organization
* Getting out the vote
* Earned media (favorable publicity)

Upon doing research about the Leadership Institute’s background my findings were rather interesting. I found the following :

While the Institute does not provide instruction in philosophical conservatism, it does encourage its graduates to read classic conservative authors like Edmund Burke and "classical liberal" authors like Frederic Bastiat, as well as more more modern conservative thinkers including William F. Buckley Jr.,His is a house hold name as a news commentator,author.
Milton Friedman He flip flopped on economics at one time he was Originally a Keynesian supporter of the New Deal and advocate of government intervention in the economy, during the 1950s his reinterpretation of the Keynesian consumption function challenged the basic Keynesian model. At the University of Chicago, Friedman became the main advocate for opposing Keynesianism. During the 1960s he promoted an alternative macroeconomic policy known as "monetarism"

Russell Kirk
During World War II, he served in the American armed forces and corresponded with libertarian writer, Isabel Paterson, who helped to shape his early political thought, Let's take a side step here for just a bit and let me show you who Isabel Paterson was
She was a Canadian-American journalist, author, political philosopher, and leading literary critic of her day. Along with Rose Wilder Lane and Ayn Rand, who both acknowledged an intellectual debt to Paterson, she is one of the three founding mothers of American libertarianism.Paterson's best-known work, her 1943 book
The God of the Machine
, a treatise on political philosophy, economics, and history, reached conclusions and espoused beliefs that many libertarians credit as a foundation of their philosophy.

Her biographer Stephen D. Cox (2004) believes Paterson is the "earliest progenitor of libertarianism as we know it today." Ayn Rand wrote in a letter in the 1940s that The God of the Machine "does for capitalism what Das Kapital does for the Reds and what the Bible did for Christianity".

Barry Goldwater,
you remember him, the G-d hating,gay loving,legalize drugs, pro-abortion libertarian who wanted to be president. Here is yet another free thinker who had influence on the school F. A. Hayek. Friedrich August von Hayek CH was an Austrian-born economist and philosopher known for his defense of classical liberalism and free-market capitalism against socialist and collectivist thought. The economist and Hayek wrote an essay titled "Why I Am Not a Conservative" (included as an appendix to The Constitution of Liberty), in which he disparaged conservatism for its inability to adapt to changing human realities or to offer a positive political program. Although he noted that modern day conservatism shares many opinions on economics with classic liberals, particularly a belief in the free market, he believed it's because conservatism wants to "stand still", whereas liberalism embraces the free market because it "wants to go somewhere". Hayek identified himself as a classical liberal, but noted that in the United States it had become almost impossible to use "liberal" in its original definition, and the term "libertarian" has been used instead. However, for his part Hayek found this term "singularly unattractive" and offered the term "Old Whig" (a phrase borrowed from Edmund Burke) instead. In his later life he said: "I am becoming a Burkean Whig".

The Leadership Institute teaches 41 different types of classes and seminars using its own curriculum. Class content varies from teaching how to create a campus newsletter to political activism (i.e. grassroots activism) to professional training and development (i.e. broadcast journalism). The Institutes's website lists its schools and other services.
they also provide International Training! How interesting is that ???

Leadership Institute training sessions and leadership schools are open to students regardless of party registration. The instructors, though typically conservative, use examples and anecdotes from multiple political parties and all points on the political spectrum. Its revenue comes mostly from donors acquired through direct mail. Its 2007 revenue was $11.9 million, Morton Blackwell, the Institutes's president, claims that it does not teach political ideology per se. They do it by having the students read Libertarian authors and therefore planting the seeds of the LIBERTARIAN PLATFORM and way of thinking, a cunning and clever way of teaching in my opinion Mark Montini, one of the institute's teachers[who?] in the 1990s told his classes that Bill Clinton's skills as a communicator were greater than those of Ronald Reagan, the 'Great Communicator.' Many of the students agree with this observation and see the 'technology' as being politically neutral!

Everything about this school screams LIBERTARIAN and if anyone can't see it they are dumber than a brick or naive as a new born baby.

Here we have yet another deception from the Rand Paul camp. Sending his volunteers to boot camp on how to be the best libertarians they can be and he calls himself a conservative Republican!!! Who dose he think he is kidding ? Surly not the voters of Kentucky.

My goodness, Geketa. I believe you have hit this nail in Rand Paul's political coffin squarely on the head! Good job!

Great post Geketa! I'd say that David Axelrod himself would feel comfortable at this boot camp, since the techniques are so similar to what he uses. :) Hmmm, that's unsettling isn't it?

Ooooooooh, that's the point! :D

Thirtynine,
I am only wanting to expose the truth here about what the Rand Paul camp is doing if it nailed him as I intended, than all the better , my mission was accomplished!!!

Sue,
You got it .. "unsettling" I am in hopes of rocking their world and exposing them for what they are LIBERTIANS not conservativs Republicans!!!!

Well researched and written Geketa.
Broken Axelrod would indeed be very pleased with the boot camp mentality.

Rand Paul is not libertarian, he's conservative. Don't believe me? Just ask him. I'll even bet that he will be whatever you want him to be as long as he gets your vote.

Democrats from Jefferson, Madison on to Cleveland, are cited in The Changing Face of Democrats on Amazon.com and claysamerica.com. We’ve allowed the Old World ideas of Rousseau and Marx to infect our politics through the 20th century Democrats, and now we are paying the price for it. Whether we will regain our proven way again remains to be seen. Whether enough of the electorate will choose the New World way or stay the course being laid down by Obama and become just another nation ruled by the few elite over the wishes of the many with individual freedom a thing of the past is yet to be decided. America proved prosperity comes from freedom, not dictatorship. Claysamerica.com

Crimfyter,
I know Rand will be anything you want him to be just to get your vote. That is exactly why he had changed his web site numerous times in hopes that those that saw him back last spring and summer would forget the words that came out of his own mouth.

Clay,
I agree with you sir. We have a sad state of affairs in this country. We have lost our morals and tossed out our way of life all in the name of appeasement and progress. We are in a state of emergency an only a hand full of folks are yelling fire!
Thanks for your impute !
